Corporate Vision

Subsequent to the Province of British Columbia's announcement in 1988 that highway maintenance was to be privatized, it was the organizers vision to offer an alternative to the affected Ministry of Transportation employees, who had for years, provided excellent service to the highway systems of the Fort George, Robson and Nechako service areas.

This alternative was to allow the employees an opportunity to influence, individually and collectively, their own future by forming an employee-owned company to bid on the highway maintenance contract in their respective areas.

Since the inception of three YRB employee-owned companies in 1988, employee-ownership has been offered in every service area that the YRB Group of Companies has been successful in tendering.
